Anyone who's followed my journey online or off since February 21, 2012, might be aware that the 48-hour period encompassing my brother's death anniversary and my stupid birthday has been a fraught and complicated time. I wrote about this in an essay titled "Deathday Birthday" that will appear in the Harper Collins published Modern Loss book, which you can pre-order today on Amazon.
